Dr. Thaj Laser Skin & Hair Clinic was founded in 1998 with a clear conviction: skin, hair, and aesthetic care should be led by medical expertise, not by trends or machines. More than 27 years later, that conviction still defines everything we do. From laser dermatology and acne correction to regenerative care and aesthetic planning, every treatment begins with clinical understanding and an accurate diagnosis — never a generic, one-size-fits-all package.

Today, Dr. Thaj Clinic is one of South India's most established dermatologist-led skin and hair networks, with six clinics across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Our Story

What began as a single clinic in Thalassery, Kerala, in 1998 has grown into a trusted network serving patients across Thalassery, Coimbatore, Chennai, Pondicherry, Ooty, and Kannur. From the very beginning, Dr. Thaj Clinic was an early adopter of medical laser dermatology in South India — pioneering laser-based skin treatment in the region from 1999, at a time when such technology was rare outside major metros. That early investment in evidence-based technology, combined with a deep understanding of South Indian skin, is what built the clinic's reputation over more than two and a half decades.

About Dr. Thajudheen

The clinic is led by its founder, Dr. C.P. Thajudheen (MBBS, MD Dermatology), a dermatologist with over 27 years of clinical experience and a recognised pioneer of laser dermatology in South India. His approach has always been the same: understand the underlying cause of a patient's concern first, then build a treatment plan around it. This diagnosis-first philosophy is taught to and shared by the entire clinical team — a multidisciplinary group of dermatologists, aesthetic physicians, and cosmetic dentists who work together to address each patient's skin, hair, and smile concerns under one roof.

At Dr. Thaj Clinic, every procedure is performed by — or directly supervised by — a qualified dermatologist, in a sterile clinical environment, using medical-grade technology. This is especially important for darker South Indian skin (Fitzpatrick IV–VI), where the wrong laser settings can cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, scarring, or pigment loss. Our protocols are calibrated to skin type at every session, with safety and long-term skin health as the first priority.
